Reminder: Fire Extinguisher & Chimney Inspection

Hello Kingswood Village Neighbors,
Please be advised that the annual safety inspections for chimneys and fire extinguishers are scheduled for next week.
Our goal is to ensure every unit meets safety standards for the protection of our entire community - and we wanted to clear up some confusion and answer common questions:
Schedule & Access
Dates:
Tuesday April 7: Units 1 - 77
Wednesday April 8: Units 80 - 169
Thursday April 9: Units 171 - 258
Time Window: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Chimney Inspections
As is standard every year, an outside vendor will be on-site to inspect chimney units for damage or safety hazards. Please note that the vendor will need to enter your unit to complete this inspection.
Fire Extinguisher Inspections
While the fire extinguisher rule has always been in place, formal inspections are resuming this year.
Short-Term Rentals (STRs): Per Placer County mandate, STRs must have extinguishers on every floor. Because these units undergo frequent county inspections, KVPOA staff will not inspect STR units.
All Other Units: To streamline the process, please place your fire extinguisher near your front door.
KVPOA staff will not enter your unit to search for an extinguisher if it is not visible by the door.
If an extinguisher is not found at the door, the unit will be marked non-compliant.
Non-compliant units will receive a notice to submit documentation/proof of a fire extinguisher to the office within 30 days.
Office Availability
During this inspection window (April 7th–10th), the KVPOA Operations staff will be out on the property and away from the front office. We will be checking messages and will return all phone calls and emails either before 9:00 AM or after 2:00 PM. We appreciate your patience as we work to keep our village safe!
