What does the board do?

It's important to understand the role of your Homeowners Association (HOA) Board!

Simply put, their main purpose is to help keep the community running smoothly, protect everyone’s investment, and make sure Kingswood Village remains a great place to live.

The Board is made up of dedicated owners who volunteer their time to serve as the community's governing body. This is necessary because, as a community, we all share essential areas, buildings, and services. The Board provides the organized, legal structure needed to manage these shared assets fairly and consistently on behalf of all owners. Without them, it would be difficult to coordinate necessary oversight, manage the community's finances, or resolve issues that affect everyone's enjoyment and property values.

So, what exactly do the Board members do?

They handle all the practical, financial, and legal business of the community.

A big part of their job is Financial Management: they create the annual budget, ensure assessments are collected to pay for shared expenses, and manage the reserve funds used for big future projects, like major repairs to roofs, roads, and special projects that create value for the property.

The Board also ensures the community's rules and guidelines (CC&Rs) are applied consistently across Kingswood Village. This Covenant Enforcement protects the neighborhood's appearance and ensures a consistent standard for the benefit of all owners. All of these tasks are done with one goal in mind: to protect the quality of life, maintain the consistency of the neighborhood, and secure the financial health of the community for all its owners.

Have what it takes?

The Board of Directors are seeking motivated volunteers who want to work as a team to continue the legacy of Kingswood Village. Positions are either Officer or Member at Large. You are also welcome to volunteer on one of our many committees.
