Dear Kingswood Owners,
The big pool will re-open for use today at 9:00 am.
I understand and appreciate the frustration may have expressed while the pool was out of commission, but the efforts to remediate the situation were necessary. For those who may not be aware, the pools water became extremely cloudy, which can be caused by several factors, but in our case, was due to an excessive amount of phosphates present in the water. Phosphates are organic compounds that can enter the pool from various sources such as fertilizers, rainwater, dirt, leaves, and even swimmers (the pools extreme usage during the 4th of July weekend and subsequent week put a huge strain on the pool system). While these organic compounds are not harmful to humans, elevated phosphate levels contributed to the cloudy water conditions. To cure this situation, the pool was nearly completely drained and refilled on Sunday. Monday was spent keeping the pools filters cleared and chemicals balanced. These efforts were successful, and the pool is fully operational today.
I would like to that James for his commitment and perseverance for getting the pool reopened. He literally worked around the clock, sleeping in his office, working on his days off, to ensure the pool opened as quickly as possible.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
Rich
