Good evening, Kingswood residents!
We are thrilled to let you know that we've officially begun the process of upgrading our common area access system! We're moving away from the older Cobra Controls system and transitioning to the modern, user-friendly Unifi Access system. This is a great step forward for security and convenience in our community!
Key Details & What This Means For You
When the Change Happens: Starting today, Monday, November 24th, your existing key fobs and key cards will no longer be active.
Getting Your New Access Cards:
What You Get: Each unit will receive two (2) new access cards free of charge.
Pickup Starts: These new cards will be ready for pickup at the HOA office beginning Monday, December 1st.
Replacement Fee: Just like the old system, please keep these cards safe! Lost or stolen cards will incur the standard $75 replacement fee, which will be billed on the owner dues statement.
Your Questions Answered!
We know this is a busy time of year, so here are answers to a few common questions:
"This is Thanksgiving week! I won't be in town to pick up the cards!"
No worries at all! We understand that many of you are traveling or celebrating. Your new access cards will be securely held in the HOA office until you, or an authorized representative (with your written permission), can come by to pick them up. Similar to how we managed the parking passes, there is no rush!
"I need to use the gym/common area, but I can't pick up the cards right away."
That is completely fine! As we mentioned in our original communication, we are making sure you still have access. We will manually unlock the common area doors during normal operating hours as a temporary solution until our residents have had enough time to transition to the new cards.
Thank You for Your Patience!
With any significant project like this, we know there might be small, unexpected hiccups. We are working hard to plan ahead and mitigate any potential inconveniences or disruptions during this transition.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this important security upgrade.
