I'm honored to be running for re-election to the HOA Board. My name is Jon Hunt, and over my time on the board, I've come to believe even more strongly that an engaged community and the people who make it up are the true foundation of a thriving condo complex.

 

I am grateful for the opportunity to continue representing our community and remain committed to helping Kingswood Village succeed. Over the last 3 years, I have worked on the STR Committee and have been working towards building a stronger relationship between owners, STR owners and the KVPOA staff. While challenging at times, we are working towards a common goal of making Kingswood Village a better place to vacation and live for everyone.

 

Having been a resident of our community for over six years, I have come to deeply appreciate its charm and friendly atmosphere. Originally from the Midwest, my wife Carey and I made the decision to move to California 25 years ago. Since then, we have built our lives here, raising four children, ages 15 to 21.

 

During my time in California, I have actively engaged with the local community and participated in various volunteer activities, including environmental clean-up initiatives, outreach events for those who are food insecure, youth sports coaching, and fundraising for local schools. These activities have allowed me to gain valuable skills in collaboration, organization, and effective communication.

 

Professionally, I currently work as an Operations Manager for a digital marketing agency, where I oversee various aspects of project management, team coordination, and client relations. This role has allowed me to develop strong management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex tasks efficiently.

 

In addition to my professional experience, I have managed both long-term and short-term rental properties. This has provided me with valuable insights into property management, tenant relations, and the importance of maintaining the quality of our community for the benefit of all residents. I understand the intricacies and challenges associated with property ownership and strive to find balanced solutions that meet the needs of homeowners and renters alike.

 

If re-elected, my primary goal will be to foster a sense of unity, open communication, and collective well-being within our community. I believe that a strong community is built upon active engagement and collaboration among residents, the HOA board, and property management. By promoting a culture of inclusivity and transparency, I aim to cultivate an environment where every voice is heard and all perspectives are valued.
